After updating to the latest release of Aperture (version 3.4) I was receiving a crash every time I tried to launch the app, I rebuilt permissions, the library, etc and nothing worked, I was still receiving this error on launch.

*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception ‘NSInvalidArgumentException’, reason: ‘*** -[NSURL initWithScheme:host:path:]: path 680284752 is not absolute.’ terminate called throwing an exception

I did some searches on the web and tried a few suggestions but finally came across one that suggested deleting the preference files that mention Aperture from ~/Library/Preferences. This worked!
